Creating the Career & Life You Want After 50

Is it time to explore the career you’ve been dreaming about?

 

Are you at a work-life crossroad and longing for work that is meaningful, where your job is more than just a paycheck?

 

Do you want to pursue a fulfilling and rewarding livelihood?

 

Whether you are transitioning to a new career, re-envisioning the one you have, re-entering the workforce or wanting to discover something totally new, this 3-part workshop will help you map your journey and mobilize your inner wisdom, leverage decades of life and work experience to launch a new beginning after 50!

In a small, safe and supportive group we will engage in a variety of assessment and reflection activities that will guide you to:

  • Create a vision of what is possible for you in for this next chapter of your life and develop a roadmap to get you there.
  • Identify your transferable and preferred skills, information to help you create a Unique Value Proposition to focus your career exploration and planning.
  • Understand how your life-work values can direct you towards work and life options where you can make meaning and experience greater purpose.
  • Discover the tools and information you need to establish career and life goals and an action plan.
  • Develop strategies for staying on track and overcoming the barriers of negative self-talk.

You will leave inspired and motivated to move forward with your vision and the implementation of your roadmap and action plan.

3 alternating Thursday Evenings beginning January 23, 2014
6:15-8:45pm on Jan 23, Feb 6, and Feb 20

Location:

Cost:

Very Early Bird Price: $180 if you register by December 31, 2013.
Early Bird Price: $195 if you register between Jan 1st and Jan 10th.
Regular Price After January 10th: $225.
Includes all assessments, reports and resource materials.

Group size is kept small and groups fill up quickly. Pre-registration required, and early registration is encouraged.

Participants will be asked to engage in assessment, reflection and action activities between workshop meetings. Opportunities for ongoing support will also be available.

 

About the Facilitators:

Susan Jewes Allen BACC Photo April 2012Susan Jewkes Allen, MSW, GCDF is a registered Global Career Development Facilitator with an MSW in clinical practice, post-graduate credentials in transpersonal psychology, personality studies and creativity coaching. She has been in private practice for more than 20 years, is the founder of Life + Work and an associate of the Bay Area Career Center. She has taught, coached, and consulted about work, health and well-being in the public and sectors, and post-secondary institutions in Europe, Africa, the US and Canada, including: the World Health Organization, United Nations, IADB and World Bank.

Her passion is coaching, mentoring, and inspiring busy, career-focused women after a life-shaking transition such as divorce or career change and helping them to find their wings, reach new heights in their life, career and relationships, and live a joyful life. She is the 2012 President of the International Coach Federation’s SF Bay Area chapter and a former executive at General Electric Company.
